Barny has been going gaga over Bioman’s opening theme song. And tonight he has asked me to give him the lyrics of the song and the translation. Well, it’s not often that I get to be useful to a friend so here they are:
Kimi no kokoro ni shirushi wa aru ka?
Tatakau tame ni erabareta
Sorujaa, sorujaa… Baioman!
Osorete ite wa dame da to
Kokoro ni dare ka no messeeji

ROUGH TRANSLATIONS (Don’t blame me if these aren’t accurate):
TAGALOG:
Nasa puso mo ba ang marka?
Napili ka para sa labanan
Kawal, kawal… Bayoman!
Hindi ka dapat matakot
Iyan ang sabi sa iyong puso
Para sa bughaw na emerald (?) ng sansinukob
Ang kamay ng kasamaan ay umaabot sa mundo
Batto Bio Clash Out!
Ang pagmamahal ng lima ay nagtatawag
Batto Bio Clash Out!
Na maging pader ka laban sa kasamaan
Electro-magnetic (?) Bayoman!
May katapangan ba sa iyong puso?
Sa panahon, ikaw ay pinili
Kawal, kawal… Bayoman!
Kahit ngayon ay mahirap na panahon
Napupuno ka ng di pangkaraniwang kalakasan
Kahit bumuhos pa ang ulan ng kalungkutan
Ang mga mata mo ay nakatingin sa bukas
Batto Bio Clash Attack!
Magsama sama ang lakas ng lima
Batto Bio Clash Attack!
Magiging mainit ang labanan
Electro-magnetic (?) Bayoman!
Batto Bio Clash Out!
Ang pagmamahal ng lima ay nagtatawag
Batto Bio Clash Out!
Na maging bagyong sisira sa kasamaan
Electro-magnetic (?) Bayoman!
Electro-magnetic (?) Bayoman!
Note: Anyone, please tell me the Tagalog terms for “emerald” and “electro-magnetic” so I can improve this translation.
ENGLISH:
Do you have the sign in your heart?
You were chosen for fighting
Soldier, soldier… Bioman!
You can’t afford to be afraid
That’s what someone’s message to your heart is
The blue emerald of the galaxy
Evil’s hands grow towards the earth
Batto Bio Clash Out!
The five’s love calls out
Batto Bio Clash Out!
Let’s become a wall that blocks evil
Electro-magnetic Bioman
Do you have courage in your heart?
Through time, you were chosen
Soldier, soldier… Bioman!
Now is a very difficult time
But amazing strenght fill you
Even if lonely rains go down
Your eyes look towards tomorrow
Batto Bio Clash Attack!
Five forces combine
Batto Bio Clash Attack!
The battle gets hot
Electro-magnetic Bioman!
Batto Bio Clash Out!
The five’s love calls out
Let’s be the wind that destroys evil
Electro-magnetic Bioman!
Electro-magnetic Bioman!
Oh, and before I forget…
Isn’t electromagnetic a trademark of Voltes Five?
— “Ultraelectromagnetic [insert weapon here]!!!!!!”
Tama ba?
Posted by Eds at June 11, 2008, 1:41 pmOh yes. Voltes V is a choudenji machine
I’m a fan of that series.
And “esmeralda” sounds Spanish. So I think both “esmeralda” and “emerald” are acceptable Filipino translations.
So how do we translate “electromagnetic”?
“Mala dagitab na bato-balani”?
Hehehe.
Posted by J at June 11, 2008, 2:47 pmTo Barny. Love, JJ.
eww! haha
the english translation is very poetic, in a postmodern kind of way. charot.
yung tagalog version parang Michael V song. haha
Posted by barny at June 11, 2008, 4:00 pmLOL barny. the tagalog was makata!
Posted by J at June 11, 2008, 4:47 pmJ! haha. The idea for my latest post actually entered my mind when I read this entry. (Remember? when you asked me over YM what emerald and electromagnetic were in Tagalog?) Haha.
Then I realised, “Damn, I didn’t know anything about Bioman.” And I was reminded of how OP I always have been when my friends talk about it. Haha.
Posted by yoshke at June 28, 2008, 11:48 pmWell, I don’t know much about Bioman as well. I like Conan and Ippo better.
And I put a lot of effort in getting these lyrics. Had to pause and play the YouTube video over and over to get the lyrics right.

I think “emerald” is “esmeralda”… But I also think it is Spanish and not Filipino/Tagalog.
Electromagnetic is… Uh… well, electricity is “dagitab” and magnet is “bato-balani”… So. Let’s make a Filipino term for electromagnetic, shall we? Hahaha.
